Dedicated writing space varies from writers to writers. Some prolific writers can have their desk spotless. Some writers’ desks are always brimming with piles of books, crumbs of snacks, scattered pens and papers, and other materials. Some writers go to public libraries for productive writing. What is your defined writing space?

Decide a writing space that you do not have to clear off before every writings session. Choose a space where you can sit down and immediately write your dissertation. At the end of your session, straighten it up to make it available for writing for the next session. However, dedicated writing space includes lots of other things.

You need to be fully productive at the time of writing and therefore it is better if you turn off your cell phones and close your email notifications on desktop. If you are habitual of listening music along with writing, you should turn on music. However, you should turn off the radio, if you can work well with silence. Try to maximise your productivity by concentrating on each writing session.

Distraction is the significant causes of under-performance. If you are sending over emails, answering calls, you will not be able to complete any task well. This is self-sabotaging behaviour. Now the most important thing to focus on is your dissertation. Try to be wary with lighting, comfortable chair, functional desk, designation computer or laptop, and remove all distractions.

Do remember that your dissertation is a part of your life. Your focus should be completing dissertation within time. It should be well written but not your magnum opus. So stay organized while writing to produce good dissertation in time.
