What are the different types of triangulation in sociology?

 In sociology, as per Denzin (1970), the triangulation is of five types.

  1. Methodological triangulation  - It involves comparing the weakness of one approach with the strengths of another. 

  2. Researcher triangulation - This technique relies on the interpretations of a researcher to generate data. 

  3. Data triangulation - This type of triangulation involves data collection using different sampling techniques. 

  4. Theoretical triangulation - It includes improvisation of research validity and reliability.

  5. Environmental triangulation - Determines data validity using environmental factors.
